Richmond City Council

Brand Identity System

In 2019 I was given the opportunity to develop a new branding system for the City Council of Richmond, VA.

After researching the history of the City Council and Richmond and interviewing residents of the city we set out to develop an identity system that reflected the history and unity that the City Council needs to represent.

The final logo combines the idea of the unification of the city council with the symbolism of the James River, a defining aspect of the River City.

Below is my workflow.

This Project was a collaborative effort between myself and my Design Strategist Megan Reilly who was integral to researching the client and the city and helped influence the design during the creative process.
